Another world’s first

Now we are taking things a step further again – by engaging a top scientist as our patient care manager – please welcome our Dr. Matthias Held!

You may wonder why we chose a scientist for this incredibly important position – not exactly a conventional choice, right?

Well, let’s start at the beginning:

1) In year one we focused on collecting all treatments that were showing results for our patient population in one location here in Larnaca (and sorted those that didn’t work out again). More Info on that you find here

2) In year two we focused on diagnostics – all the research lab tests that did show different results in our patient population (unlike the results from most clinical laboratories). More Info on that you find here

3) In year three we focused on improving our treatment schedule algorithms. More Info on that you find here

4) And now? We are focusing on the patient experience and journey. And you guessed right – for that you need an expert. But a scientist – really? 

באמת! ד"ר מתיאס הלד חקר במשך כמעט שני עשורים כיצד לייעל את איסוף ומיקסום הידע תוך התמקדות בשימושיות בפועל של אותו ידע ממש. יש לו תואר דוקטור במחקר מדעי מהאוניברסיטה הטכנית של ברלין.

על ידי מילוי תפקיד כפול כראש המדע ומנהל טיפול בחולים שלנו (שילוב יוצא דופן מאוד, נכון?), ששונה ביניהם בכל קצה של הסקאלה, הוא מנסה להשיג ניצול סינרגיות בין שני העולמות לטובת המטופלים שלנו.

כמנהל טיפול בחולים, הוא מנסה להבין לעומק את המורכבויות העצומות של ניווט בטיפול קליני כאדם חולה כרוני (כסובל לשעבר, יש לו גם תובנה שונה מאוד כדי לייעל גישה זו עוד יותר מאשר מישהו ללא ניסיון אישי).

את הידע הזה הוא לא רק ישתמש כדי לתכנן מסע מטופל וחוויית מטופל מושלמים במרפאה שלנו, אלא בהמשך גם יזריק אותו לתכנון מחקרים חדשים המונעים על ידי בינה מלאכותית ומעקב ביולוגי על הטיפולים שלנו ומחלות כרוניות שונות המטופלות באמצעותם.
